Pioneer American abstract expressionists - New York School 1950's

American Abstract Expressionism dominated a period of the Post World War II art world, beginning in 1945 and lasting to about 1957. Early Abstract Expressionism was associated with Action Painting. The period was later defined as the Abstract Expressionist Era. It included a large number of artists all across the United States.
